The Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme was developed by General Motors and considered the best car in the Cutlass range. Replacing the windows on your 1972 Cutlass Supreme is pretty much the same process as you would find on any other make and model of vehicle. The work itself should take no longer than an hour and you can find all the tools and equipment you will need at your local auto store.

Instructions

    1

Remove the two screws that hold the door handle in place using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Remove the door handle from the door and place to one side.

    2

Take the screws out of the inner door panel using the screwdriver. Lift the door panel away from the door and place with the door handle.

    3

Locate the window regulator. The window regulator is a metallic cross shape that has a horizontal metal bar at the top to which the window connects. Move the window regulator as low down in the door panel as you can. This will make it easier to remove the window.

    4

Use a hex wrench to remove the hex bolts that connect the window to the window regulator. Lift the window from the door frame.

    5

Slide a new window into the door frame of the Cutlass. Line up the holes on the bottom of the window with those at the top of the regulator. Reattach the hex bolts using the hex wrench. Place the door panel and door handle back on the door and affix in place with the screws.
