How to Replace the Windshield on a Starcraft 170

The 170 is a boat manufactured by Starcraft. Damaging the windshield on your Starcraft 170 isn't as big an issue as it would be in an automobile, but the windshield will still need to be replaced. Replacing the windshield yourself can save you quite a bit of money, and the work can be completed in under an hour.

Use a flat head screwdriver to remove the plastic covers that conceal the screws that hold the windshield on your Starcraft 170 in place.

Remove the screws from the windshield using a Phillips head screwdriver. Place the screws and the screw covers in a safe area, as you will need to reattach them when you install the new windshield.

Carefully lift the old windshield out of the window frame of the boat. Have someone on hand to help you lift the windshield out.

Place the new windshield into the frame. Ensure that the screw holes on the windshield line up with those on the frame of the 170.

Attach the grommets that came with your windshield onto the screws you removed earlier. Reattach the screws to the windshield. Pop the plastic covers back over the screws.
