Wentworth Estate - Technology Meets Design in Surrey Mansion
The celebrity client wanted full control over the entire property whilst both at home and when in and out of the UK. This included all Video, Audio, lighting and heating and much more. We opted to install Control4 as the platform for the the entire Home Automation. The Majority of the rooms have 55″ Samsung Smart TV’s including waterproof screens in some of the En Suites. Full control of heating, lighting, Video and audio is available in most rooms throughout which includes 8 bedrooms. At the nerve centre of this system is 3 Mid Atlantic racks that are packed with everything possibly needed for today’s modern family. This includes video and audio servers, a number of Apple devices including Apple TV and a MAC Mini. We also installed a state of the art CCTV system that the client can view from anywhere around the world with a touch of a button on any mobile device.
Technology That Just Works
The client wanted an easy to use system that could be used by the whole family and guests. Using a mixture of Control4 touch screens and iPads the entire property can be easily controlled from every room. The entrance gates to the property can be seen and controlled from a hand held and in wall device via a Control4 App.
Planning, Specifying and the system integrating
SK Vision were appointed by the client direct to install the Home Automation and entertainment system throughout their new home which covers 11,000 Square feet. The client wanted TV’s and discreet speakers installed installed in the majority of the home including the gym and swimming area, with the ability to control all of this via In-Wall Touch Screens and hand held devices. 3 custom rack where built to accommodate the Control4 kit as well as all the media servers, amplifiers, lighting modules and much more. SK Vision was responsible for all planning, installation and making sure the entire family could operate their new Smart Home with ease.

The Estate extends to approximately 1,750 acres lying within the green belt. It’s history dates back to the early 1920′s when the visionary developer, W G Tarrant purchased an agricultural estate around which he created his rural dream of substantial mansion houses set in beautiful mature gardens surrounding a golf course. Today there are three 18-hole championship gold courses and a 9-hole executive course. In addition there is the Wentworth club with swimming pool, restaurants, tennis courts and a health and leisure club. Sporting facilities are numerous and include racing at Ascot and Windsor, Polo at Smith’s Lawn, Windsor Great Park and the Royal Country of Berkshire Polo Club at Winkfield.
