2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid Price

The 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid Price will start at $27,995, although that price includes the destination charge. For those who qualify and are interested, now may be the time to buy a Fusion Hybrid. At the end of March, the federal tax credit available to Ford Hybrid buyers will be cut in half.

You will notice (see the table below) that the basic Ford Fusion starts at just under $20,000, which may make you think twice about the hybrid. But, Ford points out, the real comparison lies between the hybrid and a similarly equipped Fusion gas engine powered I-4 SEL model. That price difference is less than a $3,300, which means there is no difference if you qualify for the tax credit.

The 2010 Toyota Camry Hybrid is priced around $1,000 less than the Ford Fusion Hybrid, while the Milan Hybrid has a price tag of around $3,000 more.

The Ford Fusion Hybrid federal tax credit starts at $3,400, but only until the end of March. At that point the tax credit will be cut in half. Between April 1, 2009, and Sept. 30, 2009, customers who purchase a 2010 Fusion or Milan Hybrid are eligible for a partial credit of $1,700. Between Oct. 1, 2009, and March 31, 2010, an $850 credit applies.

The 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid comes with a 2.5L Atkinson cycle I-4 engine along with Electronically Controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (eCVT). The gas motor is mated to a permanent magnet electric motor powered by a 275V sealed nickel metal hydride battery pack. It comes with regenerative braking to help recharge the battery pack.

The interior features a 110 volt-inverter power point, a 6 CD changer/MP3 capable with 6 speakers audio system. The dashboard is dominated by the SmartGauge with EcoGuide Dual LCD Cluster. It also comes with a reverse sensing system.

The wheels are 17 inch 15 spoke painted aluminum (P225/50VR17 A/S BSW Tires).

You can upgrade (Package 501A) with a moonroof/12-speaker audio system. And a driver's vision package which includes blind spot information system and rearview camera system is also included.

The 502A includes everything from the 501A, but adds in leather trimmed heated front seats and a voice activated Nav System with SIRIUS Travel Link.
