Article from Revealed Design Home Interiors 2013 magazine.
"Lisa Melvin Design created this design for their client in London using the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Framed Ivory Painted range. Discover how the combination of Charles Rennie Mackintosh furniture, granite worktops and functional appliances came together to create this fantastic design.
Mr & Mrs Standing knew what they wanted for their new kitchen: a stunning yet practical environment within an extension to the rear of their family home in London. Using the Framed Painted Ivory range, Lisa Melvin Design achieved just that.
One of the central features of the kitchen extension was an impressive roof lantern which floods the kitchen with natural light, creating an airy and spacious feel. The subtle ivory tones work perfectly with the light and provide a neutral base for colour to be added through accessories.
The central island unit makes good use of the space available and provides additional worktop area for food preparation. Curved units in the island create a soft flow around the kitchen as well as keeping it up to date - curves are becoming very fashionable.
Framed Painted Ivory can be used in both a traditional and modem style with a variety of accessories and feature units available to compliment the design. This design features chunky base pilasters, an over-mantel feature with corbels surrounding the Falcon range cooker, glass dresser units and traditional styled cornice."
