Ford activates 1.0l EcoBoost variants at KLIMS ’13 - Ford brought forth the new EcoSport and Fiesta with 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine to the KLIMS ’13. Along with the Ford Model A Pick-up, Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, Ford Fiesta ST, Ford Kuga Titanium+, Focus race car, Focus Sport+ Graphite, Ranger X-Terrain Edition, Transit and Fusion Hybrid, the Ford stand at KLIMS ’13 is certainly buzzing like a beehive.

The new Ford Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost further expands the recently launched new Fiesta line-up in the country. The Fiesta’s 1.0l EcoBoost small powerplant offers direct fuel injection, turbocharging and variable valve timing for 20 percent better fuel economy at 4.3-liter/100km and 15 percent lesser emissions, compared to the regular Fiesta. It could still churn 125 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque; rather equivalent to a 1.6-liter petrol engine.

Class-leading safety features and smart technologies are hallmarks of the Ford Fiesta with EcoBoost 1.0l. The SYNC smart technology gives drivers the easiest of in-car connectivity, as well as an enjoyable driving experience.

Ford Ecosport, with 1.0-liter EcoBoost, at KLIMS ’13

The all-new Ford Ecosport is presented as a practical compact SUV, yet provides the necessary flexibility, spaciousness and agility of a thorough-bred B-segment vehicle. Reflecting its smart, urban character, the new EcoSport SUV features the Ford SYNC voice-activated in-car connectivity system, and lots of driver-centric technologies such as Smart Keyless Entry, Ford Power Start and rear parking sensors.

The Ecosport is powered by a 1.5-liter Ti-VCT engine that’s similar to the Ford Fiesta’s powerplant. Pertinent safety features included are dual front and side curtain airbags, Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Electronic Stability Program (ESP).

In keeping with the ‘Hall of Fame’ theme for KLIMS, Ford also exhibits these popular variants from 1928 to the latest: a Ford Model A, the iconic Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, Ford Fusion Hybrid, the Ranger, Focus and new Kuga Titanium +.

For the duration of 10-day KLIMS, Ford accepts bookings for the new EcoSport and Fiesta 1.0l EcoBoost. Customers who place a booking for any new Ford vehicle at Ford’s KLIMS showcase are entitled to receive a special gift, while stocks last. Finally, Ford’s Big Deal promotion is back with the offer of only 1.38 per cent interest rate per annum, for customers of the new Focus Sport+ and Focus Titanium+, in addition to free shopping vouchers.
