The Dell Wireless 3300 printer adapter allows you to use your printer without wires, which is useful if you wish to connect one printer to several machines. Upon setup, you will be prompted for the wireless network name and password. If you wish to change your network's password, you will also have to change the password for the printer adapter to connect properly. This can actually be done through your computer, so you won't even have to touch your printer to change the password.

Instructions

    1

Insert the printer's "Setup CD" into your computer's optical drive. Click on "Agree" in the Terms and Conditions window that pops up.

    2

Click "Install" and wait for the software to be installed. Once the software has finished installing, you will be asked if you wish to launch the program. Click "Cancel."

    3

Click on "Start" and then go to "Programs," "Dell," "Dell Wireless Printer Adapter" and "Set IP Address Utility."

    4

Select the Dell Wireless 3300 Printer Adapter from the list of devices presented and click on "Launch Web Page." This will launch the settings page for your adapter.

    5

Enter the new password into the Web page and then click "Confirm" and exit the page. The password can be entered at the top of the page under the area labeled "Password."
