How to Remove a Jetta Pillar

The pillars, or A-pillars, of your Volkswagen Jetta are the plastic panels between the door and windshield of your vehicle. These panels usually conceal various wiring components that are essential for the vehicle. They are also a part of the Jetta's dashboard. The pillars are held in by several small clips. Once those clips are removed, you can easily pull the pillar off of the Jetta.

Park the Jetta and turn off the engine. Engage the Jetta's parking brake.

Use a flat-head screwdriver to carefully remove all of the clips from the pillar.

Pull the pillar off of the Jetta once all of the clips have been removed. To reattach the pillar, simply place it back onto the Jetta and slide the clips into place.
