In this list of the top downloaded apps i.e more than 500 M installations, the most popular apps are like Facebook (with unbeatable 8770000 and growing ratings received by them), Google Maps, YouTube, Gmail, Street View of Google Maps, Google search and Google play services got more than 500M installations worldwide.
There are only 30 applications which have achieved more than 1,000,000 ratings. Among all downloads amazing 266,656,534 number of apps have received 5 stars. And not surprising, all the top downloaded applications are either comes free or mostly preloaded with your Android device.
In the game section, Candy Crush Saga leads the rank with more than 100 M downloads followed by Subway Surfers and Angry Birds.
In online communication category WhatsApp Messenger leads the rank followed by Viber, Skype and LINE.
In antivirus section, AVG free leads the rank with 100 M installation and no other developer is nearby. Though I prefer paid version of any antivirus. I personally use Dr. Web antivirus which is little expensive compare to others but it has very good monitoring performance. Peace of mind.
