DA increased by 6% (from 16 to 22%) for Central Government Employees Posted: 26 Feb 2009 08:22 AM PST Indian Government today passed the order to 6% DA increase for the central gov employees. Now the DA is 22%  with effect from January 2009. This increase in DA will cause 6000 Cr Rs  extra expenditure on Government Budget.
