Buick tossed its hat in the crossover SUV ring by using the same platform used for the GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook and naming it the Enclave. With the Enclave, Buick gives its buyers the utility of an SUV with the comfort and convenience that Buick has long been known for. Standard comfort features in the 2010 Enclave include air conditioning, automatic climate control, power seats and an AM-FM audio system with a CD player and MP3 capabilities. Removing this high-end radio from the 2010 Enclave is fairly simple.

Instructions

Removal

    1

Wrap the metal end of a flat-head screwdriver with a layer of duct tape. This protects your Enclaves interior from any damage from prying with the screwdriver.

    2

Pry around the outside of the radio bezel the trim piece around the radio with the flat-head screwdriver to release its retaining clips. The bezel has six clips in total four on the top and two on the bottom.

    3

Pull the bezel off the dashboard. Disconnect the wiring harnesses plugging into the rear of the bezel by pressing a holding the unlocking button on each harness and pulling each harness from the receptacle it plugs into. Remove the bezel.

    4

Remove the four radio-retaining screws with a ratchet and 9/32-inch socket. Slide the radio from the dashboard until you can access the wiring on the rear of the radio.

    5

Press and hold the unlocking button on each wiring harness and pull it from the rear of the radio. Pull the antenna cable from the rear of the radio. Remove the radio from the Enclave.

Installation

    6

Plug the wiring harnesses into their matching receptacles on the rear of the radio each harness only fits into one receptacle. Press the antenna cable into the rear of the radio. Slide the radio into the dashboard and tighten its four retaining screws to 2 to 3 foot-pounds with a torque wrench and 9/32-inch socket.

    7

Reconnect the wiring harnesses into their respective receptacles on the rear of the radio bezel. Line up the clips on the rear of the bezel with the slots in the dashboard around the radio.

    8

Press the bezel onto the dashboard until the clips snap into place.

    9

Take the Enclave to a Buick dealership to have the radio programmed to the vehicle, if you replaced the original radio. This process involves accessing the vehicle's body control module, so a special tool and training is required. If you reinstalled the original radio, there is no need for programming.
