Installing a BDL car stereo in your vehicle is fairly simple and can be done in under an hour. If you notice that your BDL stereo is malfunctioning, there could be three problems: either the radio fuse has blown, the BDL stereo was not connected properly or the BDL stereo itself is out. Fortunately, each of those three problems has a quick solution.
Instructions
- 1
Open up your car's hood and unplug the negative cable from your car's battery with a socket-wrench.
2Lift up the fuse box covering panel and remove the radio fuse with a fuse puller. If you do not know the location of the fuse, check your car's manual.
3Install a new, identical fuse into the radio fuse slot. Close the fuse box covering panel.
4Remove the securing screws from the central dash panel and remove the panel to access the radio. Check the connecting wire of the BDL stereo. If it is not plugged in properly, secure it. Reattach the panel and screws.
5Reconnect the car's battery. Close the car's hood. If the BDL stereo is still not functioning, you may need to replace the unit entirely.
