The Chevrolet Cavalier has long been considered one of the more easily serviced vehicles you can buy. When replacing the car's sun visors, all you have to do is remove a few bolts to release the old sun visor and install the new sun visor in its place. This is the last step in reinvigorating your Cavalier's interior. Replacing the Cavalier's sun visor is the same as replacing the sun visor of the Pontiac Sunbird.
Instructions
- 1
Pull down the sun visor so that it is in its lowered position, and unsnap it from the hook that prevents it from pivoting toward the Cavalier's side window.
2Remove the three screws that you find attached to the pivot bar of the sun visor. On the passenger side of the car, the pivot bar is on the far right of the sun visor. On the driver's side of the car, it is on the far left.
3Pull the old sun visor straight down and position the new sun visor in its place. Insert the screws into their respective holes in the sun visor's pivot mounting plate and tighten them down to complete the repair process.
