How to Fix a Jeep Rear Window

Making repairs to your Jeep might be a common occurrence if you use it for rough-terrain excursions. One type of damage that might occur most often is flying objects hitting your windows at high speeds, causing cracks in the glass. Completing the repair job on your own is a simple task that requires minimal supplies.

Instructions

    1

Clean the window thoroughly with soap and water. Make sure it is dry before moving on.

    2

Put on safety goggles, and begin removing loose shards of window glass from within the cracks. Using the corner of the razor blade, carefully pick the shards out.

    3

Affix the suction cup stabilizer to the window, encompassing the crack or cracks completely underneath.

    4

Fit the resin tube into the injector, and place the injector into the stabilizer at its correct site.

    5

Remove the injector once firmly in place. The resin will be released from its tube once the injector is pulled out, and the suction begins the repair process automatically.

    6

Take the stabilizer off the window. Cut strips of adhesive curing film to completely cover the wet resin repair. Place the strips onto the resin-filled areas, and leave them on until the resin dries.
