Damaged windows on your vehicle can cause severe visibility issues while driving. In order to repair the damage and improve visibility, you can fill in the cracks with liquid resin and a few other materials. The glass repair supplies you will need can be purchased from an auto parts store.
Instructions
- 1
Wash the window with a solution of detergent and warm water using cloths. A mild detergent is best. Rinse the window off and dry it with cloths.
2Prepare the cracks for repair by removing pieces of glass from inside the cracks. With safety goggles on, pick out the pieces with the razor blade.
3Place the suction cup stabilizer firmly onto the window. Make sure it is encompassing the crack, and press down on it to create the suction between both elements.
4Put the injector into its dock within the stabilizer.
5Push the resin tube into the injector, and then remove the injector once the resin is in place. At this point you will see the resin being drawn out of the tube and into the cracks.
6Wait a few minutes after you have noticed the resin tube has emptied before removing the stabilizer.
7Cut strips of adhesive curing film, and place them over the liquid resin repair until all the resin has been covered. Remove the strips after a few hours.
