Car maintenance and repair is usually no small feat, but you can fix damaged windows with little effort. If your 2002 Chevy Impala has a cracked driver's side window, all you really need is the right set of supplies and a sunny day. Purchase your necessities from a local auto store and save time and money on your repair.
Instructions
- 1
Remove all dirt and grime from the car window using a mixture of mild soap and water on a soft cloth to scrub it clean. Use another cloth to dry it off.
2Put on the safety goggles and begin removing loose pieces of glass from within the cracks. Use the sharp corner of the razor blade to pick the shards out.
3Place the suction stabilizer on top of the cracked area, and then push down on it to create the suction necessary for the repair.
4Hold the resin tube upright, and place it inside the injector cartridge.
5Put the injector into the injector site, and then once in place, remove the injector so that the resin quickly suctions into the cracks.
6Take the stabilizer off the window, place a strip of adhesive curing film over the repair and then remove it after a few hours of drying time.
