Ener1, Inc. has been listed under the symbol HEV at the American Stock Exchange.
Ener1, a subsidiary of Enerdel, received a $6.5 million investment from the USABC, the US Advanced Battery Consortium, consisting of Chrylser, Ford, GM and the US Dept of Energy. The investment was phase 2 and involves the development of a production-caliber cell, extensive lifetime testing and evaluation, and demonstrating the technology in battery modules.

NEW YORK, May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange(R) (Amex(R)) today lists the common stock of Ener1, Inc. under the ticker symbol HEV.
Ener1, Inc. engages in the development and commercialization of advanced, high-performance safe lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries for hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), plug-in HEVs (PHEVs) and electric vehicles (EVs). Ener1 is also developing commercial fuel cell products through its EnerFuel subsidiary and nanotechnology-based materials and manufacturing processes for batteries and other applications through its NanoEner subsidiary.
