Toyota's history dates back to 1924, when the company's founder, Sakichi Toyoda, invented the Toyoda Model G Automatic Loom. In 1933, Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, Ltd. opened a new department focused on producing automobiles, which resulted in the establishment of the Toyota Motor Company in 1937. Several decades later, in 1983, Toyota released the mid-sized Camry as the replacement for its Corona model. The third generation Camry -- 1992 through 1996 -- brought about a larger and more aerodynamic version of Toyota's mid-level sedan. The 1995 Camry's front left side has a total of three light assemblies: headlight, corner marker and turn signal.

Instructions

Replacing the Left-Front Headlight Bulb

    1

Open the Camry's hood and look on the rear of the headlight assembly to find the headlight sockets -- the two electrical connectors -- plugging into the rear of the headlight assembly. The outer socket is for the low beam and the inner socket is for the high beam.

    2

Press the locking button on the headlight socket, then pull the socket downward to unplug it from the headlight. Twist the headlight counterclockwise to unlock it, then pull it from the headlight assembly.

    3

Insert a new type 9006 (low beam) or 9005 (high beam) light bulb into the rear of the headlight assembly, lining up the tabs on the bulb with the notches on the headlight assembly. Twist the headlight clockwise to lock it into place.

    4

Plug the headlight socket into the receptacle on the headlight bulb. Close the Camry's hood.

Replacing the Left-Front Corner Marker Bulb

    5

Open the Camry's hood and find the corner marker assembly-retaining screw -- just inside the fender, on the upper radiator support beam. Remove the corner marker assembly-retaining screw, using a Phillips screwdriver.

    6

Pull the front of the corner marker assembly outward, then pull the corner marker assembly forward to remove it from the front of the vehicle.

    7

Twist the corner marker socket counterclockwise the unlock it, then pull the socket and bulb from the corner marker assembly. Pull the bulb from the socket, using a slight wiggling motion. Grab a new type 168 light bulb, using a clean lint-free cloth, and press it into the socket.

    8

Insert the socket and new bulb into the corner marker assembly, then twist the socket clockwise to lock it into place. Guide the tabs on the rear of the corner marker assembly into the slots on the rear of the corner marker assembly bed on the front of the Camry. Pivot the corner marker assembly toward the vehicle, then tighten the corner marker assembly-retaining screw with a Phillips screwdriver.

    9

    Close the Camry's hood.

Replacing the Left-Front Turn Signal Bulb

    10

Remove the screw securing the rear part of the front turn signal assembly to the bumper, using a Phillips screwdriver. Pull the rear part of the front turn signal assembly from the front bumper.

    11

Twist the turn signal socket counterclockwise to unlock it, then pull the socket and bulb from the turn signal assembly. Press downward on the bulb and twist it counterclockwise to unlock it. Pull the bulb from the turn signal socket.

    12

Grab a new 1156 bulb with a clean, lint-free cloth, and line up the tabs on the bulb with the grooves in the turn signal socket. Insert the bulb into the socket. Press the bulb downward, then twist it clockwise to lock it in the socket.

    13

Remove the screw holding the front part of the turn signal assembly to the front bumper, using a Phillips screwdriver. Pull the turn signal assembly from the front bumper.

    14

Twist the turn signal socket counterclockwise to unlock it, then pull the socket and bulb from the turn signal assembly. Press downward on the bulb and twist it counterclockwise to unlock it. Pull the turn signal bulb from the turn signal socket.

    15

Grab a new 1156 bulb with a clean, lint-free cloth. Line up the tabs on the bulb with the grooves in the turn signal socket, then insert the bulb into the socket. Press downward on the bulb, then twist it clockwise to lock it into place.

    16

Slide the front part of the turn signal assembly into the front bumper, then tighten its retaining screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Insert the rear part of the turn signal assembly into the front bumper, then tighten its retaining screw with a Phillips screwdriver.
