DIY: Evolution X Dome Light

The dome lights of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X are located on the ceiling of the interior compartment and are helpful when you need illumination at night or in a dark environment. If you wish to install a new dome light on your Evolution X, you can do so in only a few minutes. No special skills or tools are needed.

Instructions

Park the Mitsubishi on a flat surface and turn off the engine.

Insert a screwdriver into the side of the dome light assembly and pry it downwards to release the locking tabs.

Disconnect the dome light's electrical wiring connector and remove the assembly from the ceiling of the vehicle. If you need to, you can replace a burned-out bulb at this point by simply pulling the bulb out of its socket and installing a replacement.

Reconnect the electrical wiring connector to the dome light assembly and snap the assembly back onto the ceiling, making sure the locking tabs lock the assembly into place.
