Moving heavily packed pallets from the loading dock or around the warehouse can be a strenuous job even with a handheld pallet jack. That's why forklifts are such valuable tools in loading dock settings. Yale is a company that manufactures forklifts and other small utility vehicles. The Yale forklift has a battery-powered starter ignition system. If the forklift ever refuses to start and the battery is fully charged, the ignition may need to be replaced.
Instructions
- 1
Remove the forklift's negative battery cable with the socket set.
2Unplug the old ignition's electric wiring harness and then remove the mounting screw on the back of side of the dash panel inside the engine compartment.
3Slide the new ignition switch into place and then fasten it down by replacing the retaining screw with the Phillips screwdriver. Plug the forklift's wiring harness back in.
4Replace the forklift's negative battery cable with the socket set.
