Belt Tension Gauge
In terms of the GM diesel engine, the belt tension gauge is a widely used tool in vehicle engine maintenance.This tool is designed to calibrate both the timing belt and the fan belt within in an engine, by testing the level of tension present in both. It measures the belt tensions in Newtons and pounds, from 30 pounds (130 newtons) to 180 pounds (800 newtons). This information is delivered clearly and accurately, and is displayed on a large circular dial. Variations of the belt tension gauge can also be used in other types of engine.
Diesel Injector Test Kit
Another tool used to regulate fuel and engine performance in GM diesel vehicles is the diesel injector test kit. This tool measures any spill of diesel from the injectors, by indicating where a surfeit of fluid is present, or alternatively where there is an insufficient supply of fluid.
