The turbocharger boost sensor is also sometimes referred to as the atmospheric pressure sensor. It and the mass air flow sensor (MAF) work in tandem to measure the difference between the outside air pressure (atmospheric pressure) and pressure inside the vacuum system.
Solutions
Buildup of dirt and grim is a common problem in the MAF and turbocharger boost sensor, and will trip a error code if too much of it occurs. Removing both and cleaning them with a toothbrush is frequently a solution to the problem and should eliminate the error code.
