As of 2008, the Ford F-150 was the best selling truck in the United States, a distinction it had held for 32 consecutive years. Ford built the 1995 F-150 at the tail end of the truck's ninth generation, before it redesigned the truck line for the 1997 model year. The door panels on a 1995 Ford F-150 hide the door's interior access holes. These holes, manufactured into the inner door skin, provide access to the inner door components, such as the window regulator and the door lock system. Any problem with one of these components requires door panel removal for troubleshooting and repair.

Instructions

    1

Open the door in question. Lower the window into the door. Remove the retaining screw from the arm rest on the door panel, using a Phillips screwdriver.

    2

Remove the retaining screw and washer from the upper-leading edge of the trim panel. Pry the window crank trim cover off the crank, using a trim tool. Remove the window crank retaining screw, using a Phillips screwdriver.

    3

Pull the window crank handle and window crank handle washer off the door panel. Remove the retaining screw from the lower-trailing edge of the door panel, using a Phillips screwdriver.

    4

Pry the 10 door panel retaining trim pins loose, using a trim tool -- these pins seat in the backside of the door panel and anchor into holes in the door's inner skin.

    5

Lift the door panel up and off the door to complete the removal.

    6

Lower the door panel onto the door, guiding the upper door panel lip down into the window well, and then into the lock rod, through the lock rod's hole on the top of the door panel. Align the 10 trim pins with their anchor holes and push them in to seat the door panel on the door.

    7

Reinstall the retaining screw in the lower-trailing edge of the door panel, using a Phillips screwdriver. Slide the window crank washer and window crank handle onto the window regulator stud. Reinstall the window crank handle retaining screw with the Phillips screwdriver.

    8

Snap the window crank trim cover onto the crank handle. Reinstall the washer and retaining screw into the upper-leading edge of the trim panel. Reinstall the retaining screw from the arm rest on the door panel, using a Phillips screwdriver to complete the door panel reinstallation.
