The A71100E is an automobile distributor manufactured by Accel, a company that specializes in high-performance ignition parts for street rods and muscle cars. A distributor is a device on a car or truck that sends voltage from the vehicle's ignition coil to the spark plugs in the proper firing order so that the vehicle starts without backfiring. Distributors are made up of two parts, the cap and the rotor. The Accel distributor is installed the same way any other distributor would be installed.

Open the hood of the vehicle and use the wrench to loosen and take of the negative battery cable.
2Locate the old distributor by tracing the spark plug wires. Mark the spark plug wires with a crayon, designating their order.
3Remove the spark plug wires from the distributor cap by hand. Twist the distributor cap and lift it off. Use a wrench to remove the old distributor rotor.
4Set the A71100E distributor rotor in place and insert the retaining bolt and tighten it with the wrench.
5Twist the A71100E distributor cap into place and insert the spark plug wires into the cap in the order in which they were marked.
6Replace the vehicle's negative battery cable and fasten it into place with the wrench.
