The 2002 Honda Accord came standard with a 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine that produced 135 horsepower. An optional 150-horsepower, 2.3-liter engine or a 200-horsepower, 3.0-liter V-6 engine was also available. The 2002 Accord also featured a standard six-speaker, AM/FM/CD stereo system. To prevent theft, Honda added a security feature to the audio system that requires code entry if the radio loses its power source. A trade-off for this system is that you must enter the radio code if the battery dies or gets disconnected.
Instructions
- 1
Sit in the driver's seat and turn the ignition to the "On" position.
2Turn on the radio and observe as the radio's display reads "Code."
3Enter the five-digit code provided by the dealership when you purchased the vehicle by pressing the corresponding station preset buttons. If you cannot locate the code, your local dealership can provide you with the code using the Accord's vehicle identification number.
4Observe as the radio begins playing as normal, if you entered the code correctly. If the radio does not begin to play, repeat Step 3.
