The Friends of the Hospital of St Cross 13thannual black tie ball was based on a Valentines theme and was hosted by Chairman of the Fundraising Sub Committee of the Friends of the Hospital of St Cross Mrs Tracey Lennard at her fabulous new venue Castle Keep in Woolscott, Rugby.

The Friends of the Hospital of St Cross has two key aims: to raise funds and to provide voluntary support to the Hospital and Community Health Services of Rugby. This year’s ball raised over an amazing record breaking £3,750 and included an auction and raffle. The money will pay for a Mediwatch Urodyn Machine and other essential equipment.

Up to capacity, 90 people attended the ball and Tracey was lost for words. She said “I’m thrilled that all the hard work we put in has paid off and we managed to raise a record breaking amount.” Chef Kitchen UK provided the delicious food and My Shadow, with Brian Jeffery on the piano, wowed the crowd with their entertainment.

This fundraising event forms one of four planned events for 2013. There will be a flower demonstration later in the year hosted at Castle Keep. For more information visit www.friendsofstcross.org.uk orfind the Friends on facebook.
