The GM S10 trucks come equipped with traditional halogen bulb assemblies for all of the exterior lights. If you want to install Bi-Xenon headlights, you must replace the halogen assembly with a Bi-Xenon assembly. Bi-Xenon headlights are much brighter than halogen headlights. You can replace the assemblies in minutes, provided you have the appropriate tools for the job. You can buy Bi-Xenon headlight assemblies at most automotive parts stores or online.
Instructions
- 1
Open the hood of the S10 and use a socket wrench to disconnect the S10's battery.
2Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws securing the headlight assembly to the engine compartment of the S10.
3Squeeze the plastic tabs on the electrical connector of the headlight assembly and remove it from the S10's engine compartment.
4Place the replacement Bi-Xenon headlight assembly into the engine compartment and connect the wiring connector to the assembly.
5Reinstall the screws to secure the assembly to the engine compartment. Reconnect the battery and close the hood.
