A few of my friends are currently expecting little ones and we seem to be talking a lot about baby nurseries. One friend, Crystal, asked me to help her put together a great room. However, she can't really pinpoint exactly what she likes. I decided to put together a collection of images so she could determine what style, color and feel she is going for.
I personally think Sarah Richardson really does do nurseries best. They are great examples of rooms that parents can enjoy being in too.

This rug really is amazing. It's the STOCKHOLM RAND from IKEA and is very affordable.
These curtains are also IKEA. My sister just bought them for her dining room and they are beautiful in person. The fabric is thick and they are lined.
I'm not usually a red fan but this room is adorable.
If you look closely, the trunk of the tree is lower and uppercase letters of the alphabet. The teacher in me loves that!

What about wall decals or stenciling? They work really well in nurseries to add some interest to the walls without wallpapering. Etsy is a great source for both.
I LOVE the giraffe. I've come upon this image many times and am drawn to it.
The rug really cozies up the room too.
Here are few more of my favorites.
I think that blue is so great now for little girls. The Jenny Lind crib is a classic. I love it in yellow.
I really like the thick stripes. The tissue paper balls are easy to make and look super cute over the crib!
So soft and serene. It feels like this room might be in a cottage.
I really like the simple crib, orange chair and the yellow curtain panels.
With the right accessories this room could be great for a boy or girl.
Gorgeous chandelier. Who says babies don't need a little glam?
Here is the red again. It's really growing on me!
This room is actually a large closet. So tiny but sufficient and sweet!

This is little Clara's room from the famous Young House Love.
Check out their amazing blog to see a complete behind the scenes of how the room came together.

Another giraffe. I'm starting to think that every nursery need a giraffe. They are really that cute!
I hope those in nursery mode were inspired by some or parts of these images. I can't wait to get planning Baby McDonald's room:)
