The Silverado arrived in Chevys lineup when the maker redesigned its full-sized pickups, giving them a more modern and aerodynamic appearance in 1999. The classic Chevy C- and K-series pickups continued alongside the Silverado through the 2000 model year, but the Silverado replaced them altogether in 2001. The 2010 Silverado came standard with an AM-FM audio system, but had an MP3 decoder, DVD player, entertainment system and CD player available. Replacing the 2010 Silverados radio is straightforward, but it does require dealer intervention to program a replacement radio after installation.
