The cornering light of your Isuzu trooper, also referred to as a side marker light, is located on the rear bumper of the Trooper. If the cornering light burns out, you need to repair it as soon as possible in order to prevent accidents from happening and to prevent any unwanted citations from the authorities, since it is illegal to drive a vehicle with a faulty light in many states. If the light is out, the issue may be with the bulb or the fuse, so replacing the faulty component will fix the problem.
Instructions
Replace the Bulb
- 1
Put on the gloves and lift up the hood. Remove the negative terminal cable from the battery using a socket wrench.
2Remove the two screws from the light assembly using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull off the lens to reveal the bulb.
3Rotate the bulb to the left and remove it from the assembly by pulling it out.
4Install a replacement bulb into the assembly and rotate it to the right to secure it. Reattach the lens and its two screws.
5Reconnect the negative terminal cable to the battery.
Replace the Fuse
- 6
Open the hood and remove the cover panel from the fuse block.
7Use a fuse puller to remove the fuses in slots "17" and "19". These are the rear light fuses.
8Install replacement 10A fuses into slots "17" and "19". Reattach the cover panel and close the hood.
