Super Duty is a nameplate used by Ford on its F-Series heavy-duty three-quarter ton trucks from model year 1999 and up. Ford trucks up to and including the F-550 also use the Super Duty nameplate. Super Duty trucks share almost no parts with the lighter-duty F-150. Heavier running gear and engines that are more powerful are some of the most notable differences, as well as the different sheet metal that provides the Super Duty a more heavy-duty appearance. Having a clean windshield in dirty working conditions is important, so know how to change the wiper blades or wiper arms on your F-250 Super Duty truck.
Instructions
Replace Wiper Blades
- 1
Grasp the windshield wiper and rotate it upwards away from the windshield until it locks into the service position.
2Rotate the blade assembly so that it is at a 90-degree angle to the wiper arm.
3Press in on the release button on the plastic bracket mounted in the upper loop of the wiper arm.
4Pull down on the wiper blade assembly to separate it from the wiper arm. Move the blade assembly over slightly and pull it straight up to remove it from the wiper arm.
5Position a new wiper blade assembly over the wiper arm so that the plastic bracket on the assembly lines up with the looped end of the wiper arm. Push the blade so that the bracket snaps into place on the arm.
6Rotate the wiper arm downwards so that the blade rests against the windshield.
7Repeat the procedure to change the remaining wiper blade assembly.
