How to Repair a Rear Window in a 2005 Dodge Neon

The rear window of your 2005 Dodge Neon is what gives you visibility behind your car. If that rear window were to become cracked or chipped, then your visibility would be compromised. When that problem occurs, use a suction cup and liquid resin technique to make the repair.

Instructions

    1

Wash the window with soap and water. Dry it well.

    2

Remove tiny glass pieces from inside the cracks. Put your goggles and gloves on for protection, and then use the razor blade to pick the pieces out. Dust the window off with a dry cloth or towel.

    3

Adhere the suction cup stabilizer onto the glass, making sure the cracked area is enclosed underneath.

    4

Stick the resin tube inside the injector, and then place the injector into its dock within the stabilizer. See the unit instructions for further assistance.

    5

Take the injector out of the stabilizer to create the suction. Removing the injector allows the suction to form, drawing the resin from its tube and into the cracks to be filled.

    6

Wait a few minutes to remove the stabilizer so you can be sure the resin tube is empty. Lift the stabilizer off the window.

    7

Cut and lay the strips of curing film over the wet resin. Remove the strips once the resin has hardened.
