I didn’t receive the golden ticket to enjoy 24/7 dining for 2 but I am still super excited to visit all four design districts of the May Design Series based at the Excel London this coming weekend.

With a jammed packed seminar programme these are my top picks of ones not to miss:

Sunday 19th - 12:15
Peter Earle and Paul Nulty go head to head debating
"Recipe for Success... How to avoid lighting design 'Kitchen Nightmares' by using the right ingredients"

Sunday 19th - 15:15
The exceptional
Vanessa Brady (President of the SBID) and Leanne Tritton (Managing Director of ING Media) represent big names in the design and interiors industries and are leading PR experts. They detail how best to communicate via print, broadcast and social media platforms in the Business Briefing: "Marketing for Architects" seminar

Monday 20th - 10:15
"Urban Design: Kitchens and bathrooms for smaller spaces" talk by Philippa Turrell (Editor of Kitchens and Bathrooms News) will discuss the problems and solutions for providing fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms for small spaces.

Monday 20th - 15:15
The keynote speaker of the week, the design industry legend, Karim Rashid talks about how design has shaped our daily lives and future and how the move from Analog to Digital has changed the material world and is shaping our social behaviour. He'll also hit the decks on Monday night to do a DJ set of his favourite electro tunes from 1977 - 2013.

Sunday will also bring the first ever Global Design Blogger Meetup, hosted by Modenus Blanco America and Poggenpohl UK, with two parallel events being held in New York City and London which I am super excited about! Meet up will be at the Poggenpohl stand 5-6pm.

Live Google Hangout video broadcasts will allow participants at the events to connect with their peers, see a trends report live form the show and share in giveaways, including the global “Water for People” Pinterest challenge where two spots on BlogTour to London and LA are up for grabs.
Blanco and Modenus with host the "Design around the world event"

We will also get to see the 20 shortlisted products for the KBB LDN INNOVATION Awards. My particular favourites, which also feature in my brand new specification journal, are the Twyford 3D Rimfree wall hug toilet, Impey's Easyfit wetroom dec, and Hansgrohe's Raindance Select Shower - fingers crossed guys!

Really looking forward to catching up with everyone.
