I'm here at the Excel Centre in London, in the midst of the May Design Series action. It's been a great opening day and I've met some inspirational people.
Earlier on this afternoon Peter Earle and Paul Nulty gave a fascinating debate about how to avoid lighting design nightmares in the kitchen.

I've just been to the 'Marketing for Architects' seminar by Vanessa Brady (President of the SBID) and Leanne Tritton (Managing Director of ING Media). They discussed how best to communicate via print, broadcast and social media platforms, which I thoroughly enjoyed being keen to keep up to date with social media myself.

I'm very excited to have been part of the first ever Global Design Blogger Meetup hosted by Modenus and Blanco. It didn't quite go to plan with a few technical sound issues but it was great to see everyone in New York at the parallel event on the screens.Mal Corboy, international kitchen designer, had jetted into New York from New Zeland to be part of this exciting event.
I've had a great day and met some cool people, looking forward to more events like this!
