New Product: NEW GAMING LAPTOP G50V LAUNCHED BY ASUS
ASUS today announced the launch of the Nvidia GeForce 9700M GT equipped 15.6-inch Asus G50V aimed at gamers who want portability. It has 512MB of dedicated GDDR3 memory, has 32 DirectX 10-class "compute cores" and a 128-bit memory interface, and it is largely derived from the G96 GPU that powers desktop graphics cards like the GeForce 9500 GT.  The laptop comes with the Republic of Gamers backpack, Asus's 1600dpi gaming mouse with real time sensitivity adjustment, and also the Siberia Steelseries Gaming Headset.

New Product: NEW NOISE-CANCELLING HEADPHONES FROM SONY
Sony has launched the MDR-NC7 noise canceling headphones that features a foldable and swivel design, and a battery life of approximately 50 hours. The headphones also have dual-use capability that gives users the option to listen to music with or without the noise cancellation feature. This means that the 30mm driver, and an on/off switch for noise cancelling will still allow the headphone to be used if the battery runs dry.

New Product: AMD DEMONSTRATES NEW SIX-CORE SERVER PROCESSORS
AMD said it demonstrated the first working models of Istanbul chips, the company's upcoming line of server processors with six cores. The chips offer better performance while drawing the same amount of power as existing quad-core Shanghai server chips. "Despite putting more cores in the processor, we managed to keep it in the same power and thermal ranges as our existing 'Shanghai' processors", AMD said.

MICROSOFT READYING LOW-COST WINDOWS SERVER OS
Microsoft plans to release "something akin to" a netbook version of Windows, but for servers, not PCs, over the next month or two, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said on a call with members of the financial community on Tuesday. He said that although there is not high demand at the moment for netbook-like server hardware, declining prices in the server market make a low-cost OS an attractive option for customers.

GOOGLE BLOCKS PAID APPS FOR UNLOCKED G1 USERS
Google is prohibiting users of the unlocked phones from viewing copy-protected applications, including those that cost to download.
While Google offered only slim details about why it made the change, it could be an attempt to close a loophole that reportedly allows users of the unlocked phone to download paid applications for free. ....more
