The Ford F-250 is in a dead heat with the F-350 as Ford's longest-running production vehicle, as it debuted in 1953 after Ford renamed the F-2 pickup. The 2006 F-250 boasts a rather rugged and strong appearance, including a very pronounced grille on the front end. Replacing the grille on the front of the 2006 F-250 may seem tricky, as there are hidden retaining clips holding it in place, but overall it is a simple and straightforward task.

Instructions

Removal

    1

Open the F-250s hood and find the six screws along the top of the grille. Remove the six screws, using a Phillips screwdriver.

    2

Pull the top of the grille outward slightly until you can see the retaining clips securing the bottom of the grille to its support.

    3

Pry outward on the grille just above each retaining clip, using a flat-head screwdriver, to disengage the retaining clips. Pull the grille from the front of the truck.

Installation

    4

Set the grille on the front of the truck, aligning its retaining clips with the slots in the grille support.

    5

Press the grill onto the support to lock the retaining clips into place.

    6

Align the screw holes on the top of the grille with the screw holes in the grille support and tighten the six screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
