The Ford F-250 is in a dead heat with the F-350 as Ford's longest-running production vehicle, as it debuted in 1953 after Ford renamed the F-2 pickup. The 2006 F-250 boasts a rather rugged and strong appearance, including a very pronounced grille on the front end. Replacing the grille on the front of the 2006 F-250 may seem tricky, as there are hidden retaining clips holding it in place, but overall it is a simple and straightforward task.
Instructions
Removal
- 1
Open the F-250s hood and find the six screws along the top of the grille. Remove the six screws, using a Phillips screwdriver.
2Pull the top of the grille outward slightly until you can see the retaining clips securing the bottom of the grille to its support.
3Pry outward on the grille just above each retaining clip, using a flat-head screwdriver, to disengage the retaining clips. Pull the grille from the front of the truck.
Installation
- 4
Set the grille on the front of the truck, aligning its retaining clips with the slots in the grille support.
5Press the grill onto the support to lock the retaining clips into place.
6Align the screw holes on the top of the grille with the screw holes in the grille support and tighten the six screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
