Toyota Etios Diesel to be launched by June 2011

New Toyota Etios Diesel

Last year, Toyota have launched Toyota Etios, a sedan which belongs to the C segment of Indian automobile field . This new Toyota Etios featured 1496cc, 4 cylinder, in-line Petrol engine with a maximum power of about 89 Bhp @ 5600 rpm and maximum torque of about 132 Nm @ 3000 rpm. Now the latest to hear is that Toyota are planning to launch the diesel variant of this new Toyota Etios by the mid of this year.

This new Toyota Etios Diesel will feature a 1364cc, D-4D Diesel engine which develops a maximum power of about 87 Bhp @ 3800 rpm and a maximum torque of about 205 Nm @ 1800 rpm. This new Toyota Etios Diesel will give a mileage of 14 kmpl at the cities and 20 kmpl at the highways irrespective of 12 and 17 kmpl of it's pertol variant. This new Toyota Etios Diesel, just like it's Petrol variant also comes with a 5-Speed Manual Gear transmissions.

Just like it's Petrol variant, this new Toyota Etios Diesel features a McPherson Strut - Torsion Beam Suspension in it. Also this new Toyota Etios Diesel features a Disk Brake at the front and a Drum Brake at the rear. This new Toyota Etios Diesel variants too are same to that in it's Petrol variant : Etios J, Etios G, Etios V and Etios VX.

• Toyota Etios G Price – Rs.5,43,665/-

• Toyota Etios VX Price – Rs.6,82,519/-

Regarding the pricing details of Toyota Etios Diesel, there is no official announcement as yet, but can expect the price to be around Rs.4.8 Lakh and Rs 7 Lakh.
