Although a radio is not required to operate your Chrysler vehicle, it can make for a much more enjoyable experience. The process of installing the radio to your Chrysler vehicle differs depending on the type of vehicle you own, but the general process is the same: Disconnect the battery, remove the screws securing the radio in place and connect the wiring. A simple wiring connector will allow you to hook up the radio to your Chrysler vehicle in under 10 minutes.

Instructions

    1

Lift up the Chrysler vehicle's hood and use a socket wrench to remove the negative-terminal cable from the battery.

    2

Remove the screws surrounding the radio with a Phillips screwdriver. On some older models, there is a plastic trim around the radio that will need to be removed first. You can easily pull it off by hand or use a flat-head screwdriver to remove it.

    3

Pull the radio toward you to access the wires. Attach the wiring connector of the radio to the electrical connector behind the radio. Once the radio is securely plugged in, push it back into the vehicle.

    4

Reattach the screws and trim, if necessary. Reconnect the battery to the vehicle and close the hood.
