The 1991 Geo Metro was manufactured by General Motors and is also known as the Pontiac Firefly, the Suzuki Swift and the Chevrolet Metro in other parts of the world. The Metro uses 9003-type bulbs for its headlights. To properly wire your Metro's headlights, you need to access the headlight assembly through the engine compartment. The headlights are an important safety component and should always be functioning properly.
Instructions
- 1
Put on the clean gloves and lift up the hood.
2Disconnect the Metro's battery with a socket wrench.
3Remove the lock ring from the rear of the headlight assembly.
4Squeeze the connector's plastic tabs to disconnect it and remove the bulb from the socket by pulling it straight out.
5Insert a new bulb into the socket. Push the connector into the socket until the plastic tabs lock over it. Reattach the lock ring.
6Reconnect the battery and close the Metro's hood.
