The Cadillac CTS is a popular sports sedan that combines luxury features with high-end performance. The cooling system is a little different from most other cars, in that it has a coolant reservoir that is pressurized on the driver's side fenderwell, which makes draining the coolant a bit trickier. Otherwise, the job is fairly straightforward, and should be done every 30,000 miles.

Instructions

    1

Allow the engine to completely cool for at least four to six hours or overnight, if possible. Raise up the front of the vehicle using the jack and set it on the jack stands. Make sure that the vehicle is solidly on the stands before crawling underneath it.

    2

Pop the hood and open the radiator cap with your hand. Open up the coolant recovery tank on the fenderwell as well.

    3

Place the drain pan underneath the radiator. Open up the petcock on the bottom of the radiator and allow the coolant to drain out into the pan.
