Dyson is a manufacturing company that specializes in making eco-friendly diesel fuel treatment additives, hydraulic oil and motor oil under the product line names Xentx and Synergyn. Dyson Synergen motor oil is a high-grade motor oil specifically designed for race cars. It is used by top racers in NASCAR and other racing organizations. Dyson oil, just like motor oil used in passenger vehicles, needs to be tested and changed regularly in order to maintain a smooth-running engine. The procedure for checking or testing Dyson motor oil is no different than checking the oil in your own car or truck.
Instructions
- 1
Start the vehicle and allow it to run for about five minutes to warm the engine.
2Turn the car off and open the hood to access the oil dipstick.
3Remove the oil dipstick, wipe it clean with an old rag, insert the dipstick again and then pull it out. The dipstick on most racing engines will be located on the front driver's side of the engine block.
4Examine the engine-oil level first by looking to see if the oil level falls between the indicated ranges on the dipstick.
5Inspect the oil visually and rub a small amount between the thumb and forefinger. If the oil is black in color and not clean looking, or if particles are physically felt between the thumb and forefinger, it is time to change the Dyson oil in the race car.
