The front brakes on a 1991 Honda Accord do the majority of the stopping for the vehicle. The brakes use brake pads to clamp onto the brake rotors and over time, the brake pads wear down. If your front brakes are squeaking, it's possible you need to change out and install new front brake pads. This should take about an hour to do correctly.

Pick up the front of the Accord using a jack and put jack stands on the jack points just rear of the front wheels. Take off the front wheels with the tire iron.
2Unbolt the brake line clamp on the strut using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Unbolt the bottom bolt on the brake caliper using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Take the brake pads off the brake rotors. Spray the brake caliper with the brake cleaner.
3Install the large C-clamp over the brake caliper. Tighten the C-clamp so it compresses the circular piston on the inside of the brake caliper. Apply brake quiet compound to the backside of the replacement brake pads and put the shim on top of the pad.
4Install the pads onto the rotor and lower the caliper onto the pads. Reinstall the mounting bolts using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Reinstall the brake line to the strut with the ratchet.
5Lower the Accord off the stands with the jack. Pump the brakes several times before driving the vehicle for the first time.
