The Ford F150 is Ford's best selling truck. The F150 uses a standard wheel hub to tie the suspension together. The wheel hub connects the upper and lower control arms, as well as houses the brake rotor. You may need to remove the hub assembly for a variety of jobs like changing the wheel bearing, installing new ball joints or pressing in new control arm bushings.

Break the lug nuts loose by turning the rear wheel lugs 1/4 turn counterclockwise with a tire wrench.
2Jack up the F150 underneath the lower control arm.
3Place jack stands underneath the rear crossmember to act as a "backup support" if the jack should fail.
4Finish removing the lug nuts and pull the wheel off the wheel hub assembly.
5Remove the upper and lower caliper mounting bolts and secure them to the leaf springs above the brake assembly.
6Remove the brake rotor.
