The compass on your Toyota Camry Solara SE is one of the electrical components on the rear-view mirror, which also includes a temperature gauge and an auto-dimming mirror. The compass is wired to the Solara's battery, so turning the vehicle on will turn on the compass. You can change whether you want the mirror to display the cardinal direction you are headed in or the temperature simply by pressing a button on the mirror.

Instructions

    1

    Open the driver's side door and get into the Solara.

    2

    Insert the keys into the ignition of the Solara and turn the vehicle on.

    3

    Press the left button on the mirror if the display is showing the temperature. This will toggle the display to show the compass instead.
