In 2002, Subaru released the first performance vehicle -- the Impreza WRX -- since the 1997 SVX. In 2004, Subaru pushed the envelope by releasing the even better performing Impreza WRX STi. The 2008 Impreza WRX STi came equipped with a 305-horsepower, 2.5-liter horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine and a six-speed transmission. The 2008 STi's interior is just as impressive as its engine, as it includes red-lighted gauges, curved silver trim and metal pedals. The glove box fits well in the STi's interior, as one side is curved along with the silver trim. Removing the glove box is not overly confusing, despite its unique shape.

Instructions

    1

    Open the glove box.

    2

Find the glove box damper -- the cylinder on the passenger's side of the glove box. Remove the screw securing the damper to the glove box, using a Phillips screwdriver. Pull the damper from the glove box.

    3

Squeeze the sides of the glove box inward until the stoppers on the rear of the glove box clear the dashboard. Pull the glove box from the dashboard.

    4

Set the hooks on the base of the glove box on the pins on the bottom of the dashboard. Squeeze the sides of the glove box and pivot the glove box into the dashboard until the stoppers are behind the dashboard. Release the sides of the glove box.

    5

Set the glove box damper on the side of the glove box and tighten its screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Close the glove box.
