The 1989 Ford F-150 featured a clock that displays time on the face of the radio. Earlier model trucks featured a common stand-alone electric clock, but these clocks proved unreliable and had a short service life. However, the later-model radio clocks, without using a memory saver, will lose time if power is interrupted. The memory saver features a 9-volt battery connected to a tether that is plugged into the cigarette lighter or power port; they save the computer memory when the battery is replaced. They are also inexpensive and available at just about any auto parts store.
Instructions
- 1
Turn the key to the "On" position or start the truck.
2Push in and hold the power-on-volume button on the radio.
3Turn the tone button left to advance the hours and right to advance the minutes. Release the power and volume buttons when finished.
