The Ken-Tool Duck Billed Bead Breaker measures 18 inches from bottom to top. It looks like a hammer, but the head is shaped more like a crowbar. The tool is used to help you separate the tire from the rim. The Ken-Tool breaks the beads around the rim without cutting into your tire. You can use the tool on any tires, although it's most effective on cars, scooters, ATVs and motorcycles.
Instructions
- 1
Remove the tire from the vehicle and lay it on a stable working surface with the rim facing up.
2Start with the bead closest to the valve. Wedge the claw on the head of the bead breaker between the rim and the rubber of the tire.
3Grab the bead breaker handle and push up while pushing down on the opposite end of the tire. The curved head with push the rim up and the tire down until the bead breaks.
4Repeat on other beads until the tire and rim have been separated.
