Lincoln introduced the LS for the 2000 model year on a platform shared with the Jaguar S-Type and Ford Thunderbird. However, the similarities ended there as the LS had its own dedicated design team tasked with capturing the new look of Lincoln for the new millennium. Part of that new look was distinctive headlights, employing an HID halogen system, which are brighter than traditional sealed-beam lights. Another difference to halogen lights is the dramatically higher temperatures the bulbs emit, which require ventilation slots in the headlamp assemblies ---ventilation that allows moisture to enter the headlights.
Instructions
- 1
Start your 2000 Lincoln LS.
2Turn on the headlights.
3Drive the LS, or leave the engine running and headlights on, for at least 45 minutes. The condensation will evaporate due to the temperature of the halogen bulbs.
4Turn off the headlights. Turn off the LS.
