How to Rewire a 400EX

The 400EX is an ATV vehicle produced and developed by the Honda Motor Company. As with most ATVs, the 400EX needs to be wired to a battery for it to work properly. If you perform an electrical maintenance task on your 400EX, you most likely need to disconnect the battery to prevent any accidental injuries. Rewiring your 400EX is fairly simple and should only take you a few minutes to perform.

Open up the 400EX's battery compartment.

Connect the positive terminal of the battery first using a socket wrench.

Connect the negative terminal next with the socket wrench. Do not connect the negative terminal first.

Test the 400EX by turning it on. If it turns on, the 400EX is properly rewired. If not, check the connections.
