The battery on the Lincoln LS model cars is secured inside of a battery tray. The battery is the main component that supplies the proper amount of power to the alternator. The alternator then powers the vehicle's entire electrical system and keeps the battery charged. Once the battery stops producing power, the alternator will not function and neither will the vehicle's electrical system. Inspect the battery on a regular basis for corrosion and clean it as needed to prevent the battery from dying before its time.
